membership information
DO YOU LOVE TO WRITE?
THE BRANTFORD WRITERS' CIRCLE WELCOMES ALL ADULTS, 18 YEARS OR OLDER, WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN WRITING, WHETHER IT BE JUST FOR THE SHEER PLEASURE OF IT, OR FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO SET ONE'S FEET UPON THE PATHWAY THAT WILL LEAD THEM TO "THE TOP TEN" ON THE "BEST SELLERS LIST"!
If you are interested in joining us, or just coming out to attend a meeting or two, the following information will give you some guidelines.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
MEMBERS: $25.00 PER YEAR
NON-MEMBERS: $3.00 PER MEETING
As a non-member, you may introduce yourself to the group, socialize with group members during break and after the meeting.
AFTER THE SECOND MEETING, ANYONE MAY VOICE THEIR DESIRE TO BECOME A FULL MEMBER OF THE GROUP
MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES
UPON ENTERING A MEMBER CAN SIGN THE READING SHEET FOR THE EVENING. THEY MAY READ TWO POEMS, OR UP TO 1000 WORDS AT THAT MEETING. (The only time there may be a quantity limit on readings is if the time does not allow. At that time, members may be asked to reduce the amount that they have prepared to read)
ALL MEMBERS WILL ENCOURAGE THEIR FELLOW WRITERS BY PARTICIPATING IN CRITIQUES. (If the reader wishes feedback on their writing)
ALL MEMBERS WILL RECEIVE DISCOUNTS ON WRITING RELATED WORKSHOPS, IF ARRANGED BY THE BWC.
ALL MEMBERS MAY SUBMIT WRITING TO BE POSTED ON THE "WRITERS' PAGES ON OUR WEB SITE. THIS PART OF THE WEB SITE WILL BE UP AND RUNNING SOON.
ALL MEMBERS MAY PARTICIPATE IN BWC WRITING CONTESTS.
ALL MEMBERS MAY SUBMIT TO THE BWC ANTHOLOGY. ANTHOLOGIES ARE NOT DONE ON A YEARLY BASIS AND DEPEND UPON THE GROUP PARTICIPATION.
